The more heretics and blasphemers insist they are speaking the truth, the more you can expect them to make an outrageous claim.
Bobbie Houston once again parades her own neuron-free glory with this Hillsong Conference advert on Instagram:
bobbiehoustonIn all truthfulness – worship was something else this week. I think Jesus may have been tempted to COME BACK a few times 😜😝😜#hillsongconf #noothername #Jesus#thykingdomcome
Source: Bobbie Houston, Instagram, Published 25/07/2015. https://instagram.com/p/5iYEQ8IY1K/, (Accessed 25/07/2015.)
The stupidity behind this comment once again exposes that Hillsong leaders like Bobbie Houston have no clue who Jesus is nor knows how he will return in the last days. Jesus Himself said that he did not know when He will return but only His Father will know the day. Christ cannot return to earth through any form of temptation.
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36
Oddly enough, it was SATAN that used temptation to lure Jesus:
“Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,’
and
“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Matthew 4:5-7
The above scripture highlights the fact that Jesus submits to the Word and will of His Father. Jesus neither submits to temptation whether it be from Satan or us. It only goes to prove that truth means nothing to Hillsong except to sell their own vain imaginings to gullible Christians.
It’s a joke.
I think the grace of God covers that
The Grace of God is no joke And He will not be mocked!!!!!!!!!!
She’s not mocking Jesus ❤
This is all contextual, and you've changed the context 🙂
Maybe you should take a look at who is taking Things out of context. She is an infuencial Christian leader and she should know that we can do nothing to make Jesus come back. She is mocking Jesus … The Jesus she doesnt know!
“In all truthfulness – worship was something else this week. I think Jesus may have been tempted to COME BACK a few times”
BOBBIE HOUSTON HAS AGAIN DEMONSTRATED THAT HER IQ IS LESS THAN HER SHOE SIZE.
Seriously, why so rude and insulting? You can disagree with her and with Hillsong, but why do you need to comment on her iq? What does that do for you?
“Seriously, why so rude and insulting?”
Because it’s apropos.
“Because it’s apropos.”
BRAVO!! SO SO TRUE. ITS BEEN PROVEN INTELLIGENT LIFE DOES NOT EXIST ON PLANET HILLSONG.
I can only see two explanations for why you published this post:
A) you don’t understand the emojis next to her post CLEARLY saying “this is a joke”. However I don’t think that’s even possible to not understand… Which leads me to…
B) you’re purposefully ignoring the fact that it’s a joke to belittle and make fun of Bobbie Houston.
Now, I understand that you believe it’s your calling in life to be a critical voice to big churches. I don’t agree with much of what you’re saying, but I don’t argue with it. However this is so low. Trying to belittle her iq is just so so low. I don’t think this reflects what it is to be a Christian in any way. I hope you pray about this and decide to take this down, or at least change the wording. You can disagree with a person without insulting them and their iq.
And by the way, she never spoke in all truthfulness about Hillsong tempting Jesus’ return. She said in all truthfulness worship was something else. Then she JOKED (see the emojis) about Jesus’ return. Whether one thinks that’s funny or not is something else. But don’t say that she said Hillsong tempted Jesus’ return in all truthfulness. Cause that’s word twisting! You can do better than that as Christians.
“Now, I understand that you believe it’s your calling in life to be a critical voice to big churches.”
NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING CAUSE THATS NOT MY CALLING.
“you don’t understand the emojis next to her post CLEARLY saying “this is a joke”.”
MISS EMOTIONAL, HERES WHAT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND. TAKE 1 STEP BACK AND LOOK AT WHATS REALLY GOING ON BEHIND THE EMOTICONS. BOBBIE HOUSTON IS FLATTERING HER FLOCK. WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT THIS DECEIVER??
ROMANS 16:18 “FOR SUCH PEOPLE ARE NOT SERVING OUR LORD CHRIST, BUT THEIR OWN APPETITES. BY SMOOTH TALK AND FLATTERY THEY DECEIVE THE MINDS OF NAIVE PEOPLE.”
JOKING OR NOT DOESNT MATTER, SHE SHOULD NEVER SAY WHAT SHE DID. THOSE EMOTICONS DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING, IT WAS BLASPHEMY.
AS FAR AS HER IQ, THAT IS TYPICAL BOBBIE HOUSTON NONSENSE. SHE IS DENSE AS A BRICK.
WHY DO YOU THINK SHE IS A CHRISTIAN?? JUST BECAUSE SHE ‘PASTORS’ A BIG CHURCH??
LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE SOME PRAYING TO DO.
Ok first of all I wasn’t answering you, but the people who are writing this page. I have no idea what your calling in life is (nor do I really care). Actually I have no idea what their calling in life is either, but from the amount of time they spend on this website, I assumed they believed it was to be a critical voice to big churches. I could be wrong, and if so, I apologise.
I think your answer is extremely one-sided, and I’m not sure me answering you is going to change that, but there are some things you said that I just can’t leave unanswered.
First of all, why do you call me Miss emotional? What parts of my comment felt emotional to you? Because in case no one has told you, writing everything in capital letters means “I’M YELLING”. Seems a bit more emotional to me…
Secondly, you put in a bible verse about “such people” without putting in the verse that explains what people Paul is talking about. Verse 17 says: I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. (Romans 16:17 NIV)
I don’t think Hillsong fits this description. I don’t expect you to agree. However I think “the teaching we have learned” is among many things also that we are to show love to one another. And I don’t think the people who have written this post is doing it out of love. Nor do I think you are. That’s why I wrote about IQ. even if you believe Bobbie Houston is “dense as a brick” (which I don’t think she is), writing that is not following the teaching we have learned from the Bible. It’s not loving. It’s not kind. I think perhaps you need to put down the rocks and pick up a mirror.
Also, I actually never said Bobbie is a Christian in my post. I said the people of this website are (as far as I understand). I was challenging their Christian response. But of course I think she is! Have you ever listened to anything she’s said? Like a sermon? Cause if you have you would hear her sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Either way, luckily it is neither yours or my job to judge her relationship to God.
Lastly, THANK YOU kindly for thinking about my prayer life. I very much appreciate it. How’s your prayer life?
Hi Lily,
It’s easy to pass off what Bobbie Houston said as a joke because of the emoticons. So please further consider what we are about to say about Bobbie’s statement.
When teachers appeal to “all truthfulness” to say something false, the truth suffers alongside the credibility of the one claiming to speak in truthfulness.
Hillsong’s false theology is present in her statement which teaches that Jesus can come back whenever he feels like it. This false teaching emerged from the Latter Rain movement. There is no concept of the great apostasy and falling away when Christ returns. There is no sense of the coming judgment of Christ and the world’s impending destruction. Instead, we’re hearing a false Jesus being presented to further the cause of Hillsong.
Lastly, the fact that a so-called ‘pastor’ would even think or say this is reflects how poor Bobbie is as a Christian teacher. If she is in a position of responsibility, why did her mind go there?
A Christian leader/teacher doesn’t usually think like this. It’s in similar vein to Brian Houston saying that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. We can’t explain why their minds say such delusional things. But this is has been noted in the scriptures of God handing people over to their delusion.
“a critical voice to big churches”
hillsong is not a “big church”, it’s a small cult.
“I think your answer is extremely one-sided”
I think that Bobbie Houston is one-dimensional (and even then only on a good day).
“I don’t think Hillsong fits this description.”
Which simply goes to prove that you are not qualified either to judge or to express an opinion.
“even if you believe Bobbie Houston is ‘dense as a brick’ (which I don’t think she is)”
You are quite right about that: Bobbie Houston is in fact much denser than any brick (and bear in mind that Brian “married up”, intellectually speaking…)
“I think perhaps you need to put down the rocks and pick up a mirror.”
Perhaps you need to put down the mirror and pick up a Bible.
“But of course I think [Bobbie Houston] is [a Christian]!”
That’s because you have no idea what a Christian is.
“luckily it is neither yours or my job to judge [Bobbie Houston’s] relationship to God.”
There’s nothing to judge: Bobbie Houston doesn’t have any relationship with God.
“writing that is not following the teaching we have learned from the Bible.”
YOURE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT MY 1 SMALL COMMENT THAN BOBBIE DECEIVING TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE?? IRONIC ISNT IT??
“And I don’t think the people who have written this post is doing it out of love. Nor do I think you are.”
THATS BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN A FALSE LOVE THATS NOT BIBLICAL. YOU THINK TALKING SWEET IS LOVE REGARDLESS OF ALL THE LIES BEING TOLD.
“Have you ever listened to anything she’s said? Like a sermon?”
WOMEN ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TEACH SO I WILL NOT FORCE DOWN 1 OF HER NON SENSICIAL ‘SERMONS.’ THOUGH I HAVE LISTENED TO MANY OF HER MINDLESS STATEMENTS ABSENT OF ANY EVIDENCE OF GREY MATTER. THOSE STATEMENTS ARE MANY.
“Cause if you have you would hear her sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.”
IS THAT SO??!! SHE HAS NEVER HEARD THE HOLY SPIRIT. SO HOW CAN SHE BE SENSITIVE TO HIM?? WHAT YOU HEARD WAS MRS FORTUNE TELLER BOBBIE CONJURING UP SPELLS INTO YOUR HEAD.
“Either way, luckily it is neither yours or my job to judge her relationship to God.”
THE HOUSTONS TAUGHT YOU THAT GIBBERISH. ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY & OBLIGATION TO KNOW THE SPIRITUAL CONDITION OF WHOEVER TEACHES YOU. IF YOU DO NOT, WELL, YOURE DENSE TOO. EVERYTIME ONE OF THESE WITCH DOCTORS SPEAKS FOR GOD THEYRE COMMITTING BLASPHEMY. THEY SET THEMSELF UP AS THE SUPREME AUTHORITY ABOVE THE BIBLE.
CAN I GET AN AMEN??
Hi Swizzle. You are free to comment here. But can you please not write with capslock? It is hard to read.
Regards,
CW
Hi again,
Thanks for your answer churchwatch.
I didn’t really come here to “win” a debate or to change your mind because I know we fully disagree on these things and that’s probably not going to change. What I’m mostly reacting about is the way you talk about Bobbie Houston. You can fully disagree with what she’s saying without writing things like “Bobbie Houston once again parades her own neuron-free glory with this Hillsong Conference advert on Instagram”. I don’t think that’s nice, nor do I think that’s Biblical.
I also don’t appreciate Ed and Swizzles comments about Bobbie Houston being dense as a brick. I don’t think “talking sweet” is love (but thanks for putting words into my mouth there, Swizzle), but I do think you guys can say what you need to say, without saying it in a condescending way. The Christian response is speaking the truth in love.
Fair call. We will remove that sentence at your request.
“I also don’t appreciate Ed and Swizzles comments about Bobbie Houston being dense as a brick.”
You really should learn to read. I didn’t say that Bobbie Houston is as dense as a brick, I said that “Bobbie Houston is in fact much denser than any brick” (a trait that you and she apparently have in common).
“What I’m mostly reacting about is the way you talk about Bobbie Houston.”
If Bobbie Houston’s brain-dead supporters don’t like seeing her being rightly castigated as a presumptuous air-head, they should advise her to sit down and keep her mouth shut (apparently Brian Houston is blissfully unaware that he is the one whose job it should be to keep Bobbie’s rampant stupidity in check).
“I didn’t really come here to ‘win’ a debate”
Never mind “winning”, you are not even remotely capable of engaging in a debate.
“Also, I actually never said Bobbie is a Christian in my post. … But of course I think she is!”
Basically you were lying by omission due to painting a picture other than the truth of what you really believed. You learned that truth-evasion tactic from your cult leader who does it all the time — Brian Houston.
Thanks churchwatch for offering to remove the sentence. I will view you in a better light when you do that. I hope it happens soon.
Jarkko: I never said Bobbie is not a Christian. I simply never commented on her status with God, because I think it’s obvious that she is.
Also, Brian is not my “cult-leader”. One because Hillsong is not a cult and two because I am not a part of Hillsong church. I used to be, but now I am part of a different church.
Ed – if you wanna go so deep into detail — I never said you wrote that Bobbie is dense as a brick, I said that you commented “about” Bobbie being dense as a brick.
I’m leaving this debate now. God bless you all, I hope you all change your minds about how one talks about other people and whose role it is to judge other people’s standing with God.
And I hope that when you view the world through the eyes of the Bible there is also a mirror there. And that doesn’t just count for you but for all of us (including myself, including Bobbie Houston and including pretty much every person who’s ever walked the planet).
“I am not a part of hillsong [cult]. I used to be”
And there it is. You can take the girl out of the cult, but you can’t take the cult out of the girl.
“Ed – if you wanna go so deep into detail”
Yeah, who cares about what was really said anyway? The main thing is that we know that Brian and Bobbie are always right, even when they are contradicting God, the Bible, and even themselves.
“I’m leaving this debate now.”
With cheeks flushed from embarrassment and your tail tucked firmly between your legs. It just goes to show what wonderful teachers Brian and Bobbie have been for you, doesn’t it?
Hello there!
Good comment and I think you’re absolutely right about that Jesus will not do anything on basis of temptation and this comment is in a way another sign of where this movement stands.
Please note that I’m not trying to defend Hillsong in any way and I do consider it apostate. This gives me a reminder of my own shortcomings and it convinces me the importance of what we say and do in this life since it reflects our hearts desire.
I think that her comment could have been a reflection of her own feelings about how the conference played out. To communicate her feelings to the general christian public she project them on a subject she knows that most christians have strong feelings about.
So I assume (but I don’t know) that her statement in this case is clearly not meant as doctrinal but rather emotional.
It’s an unfortunate comment which I think chould have been reformulated to be better but I have to agree that I have probably acted in a similar way against our Lord and for this reason I would not judge her based on that comment alone but leave it for Him to decide.
But I agree that if her statement was(is?) to be interpreted as doctrinal; meaning:
She really meant and believed this was the case and tried to convice others that the conference was actually so great that this really did happen up in Heaven.
Then I think it would be apropriate to rebuke her and Hillsong for allowing that doctrine to be teached.
@Iwonder – Thanks for commenting. We come from a perspective where we believe it’s appropriate to compare what Bobbie says in comparison to God’s Word. Given her history of taking scriptures out of context and also claiming the unbiblical role of female pastor, you might understand our approach if you listen to this Colour Confernce review on “Fighting For The Faith”. The review should start about the 1 hour 18 minute mark.

Hello again,
I listened to it for a short while and I agree that the general matter regarding Hillsong requires exposure which I think you do really well here on this site. However I also feel sad about the state of it all and we need to pray for the Hillsong pastor couple to get a true warning from God so as they might be saved.
I think they both are decieved and it’s good to expose it but I also would like to remind that the consequences of leading an apostate church is eternal condemnation which is a tragedy beyond words which makes it hard for me to laugh about it or make fun of it.
My intention here is just to remind that even if they’ve gone into apostasy and it is really important to expose it, really great work from your side, it is also important to understand the sadness of it all as well.
Imagine that they were your best friends. What would you tell them?
Because I think that they are absolutely lovely people if you get to know then on a personal level.
From the beginning I think it could have been ended up in something good but something got in the way along the road and I would guess it drifted far away from it’s original path. Today it would require a tremendous effort to turn the ship right and only God can fix it.
That is exactly the same way it was for me before I decided to admit my sins and ask for forgiveness. This is also why I think the same thing can happen with them as well.
Save them a sincere prayer so God can wake them up and make them see the true nature of it all.
Blessings
“But I agree that if her statement was(is?) to be interpreted as doctrinal; meaning:
She really meant and believed this was the case and tried to convice others”
Whether it was or wasn’t doesn’t even matter.
Even without it the Houstons have established a lengthy pattern of making these kinds of bold (arrogant) statements, and taking God’s Word out of context, time and time again.
The Houstons’ words are self-incriminating. They have never stuck to the Bible. Their emotions, feelings, and words consistently have taken precedence over God’s Word.
Whatever the Houstons say and do, they attribute it all to the Holy Spirit. As if they were God’s chosen vessels on earth, here only to give instruction to all people (while never receiving correction themselves). In their minds they have reached some obscure personal state and lofty social status to where they are above reproach (amazingly even from God’s Word itself).
